      Description

Resinous and incense-like.  Warmer than the Somalian or the Absolute. Buttery. Rich & sweet.  Thicker viscosity. This is the oil used when using for emotional or aromatic purposes. This oil is not to be used in recipes for skincare but for diffusing or just to wear. Visualizing, spiritually connecting, centering. Probably the most introspective oil. Balances extremes of emotion and restores inner tranquility. Clearing, purifying, warming, uplifting and revitalizing. One of the best aromas for creating a meditative environment. Frankincense slows and deepens the breath, and is used to support meditation, spiritual quest and prayer in many different cultures, from Catholic/Orthodox Christianity to India, China etc. It has forever been associated with divinity, and allegedly was one of the presents given to the newborn Christ. However, it is mentioned a total of 22 times in the bible

Frankincense is harvested by incising the tree trunks, much like when harvesting maple syrup or natural gum. The excreted resin hardens, and forms so called "tears".

Frankincense is also a great fixative (a fixative is a substance that binds other compounds, slowing down their evaporation and thereby making their fragrance last longer) and preservative. It's also a valuable ingredient in skin care for mature and dry complexions. Blends with Citrus oils like Orange, Bergamot, Neroli, Lavender, Clary Sage, Patchouli & Vetiver, Rose and Sandalwood.

No known toxicity. GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) Do not Ingest.

Our Essential Oils are 100% natural, undiluted, therapeutic grade oils. Essential Oils are highly volatile, meaning they readily evaporate, transforming from liquid to vapour. Keep your oils out of sunlight, but do not refrigerate. For more information, refer to Aromatherapy 101

When deciding on a lid, there are a few things to keep in mind. Droppers are great when working on recipes, because you can count the drops, but if you store the dropper in the vial, the oil will eventually deteriorate the rubber, ruining your precious oil. So, store separately, especially if you do not use the oil promptly. Wands are good for skin application. The reducers are good for thinner viscosity oils but not for heavy oils like frankincense. Tap the bottom of the bottle to deliver the oil. These are great for the diffuser.
